Description
It's a California dream - miles of beach, a lagoon mouth that forms where the river backs up, the Pacific Ocean in your field of vision, and of course, dogs running around everywhere. Surfers Point Beach in Ventura California is truly a dog-lovers (and a surfer's) dream.

A popular spot near Promenade Park Beach, this fun little area got its name because of its hot reputation among surfers. Here, the point faces south, allowing for west curls to roll in consistently - this is where surfers will paddle out in various spots and ride waves to their heart's content toward the Ventura City Pier. More than that, there's kiteboarders, windsurfers, skating, biking, walking, hiking, fishing, bird watching, and picnicking!

This spot certainly isn't lacking in amenities, that's for sure! With bathrooms, showers, paved bike paths, and of course, the refreshing lagoon located at the mouth of the Ventura River, this beach makes for a must-visit spot.

The best news? Your leashed pup is able to join you at this awesome spot. All the officials ask is that you keep your dog on-leash and ready to respect authority. You're also required to pick up after your pooch, but you should be used to that! Make sure you're prepared with plenty of doggo poop bags in tow! Other that that, keep an eye on the waves and tides and enjoy a gorgeous day out in on the beach with your four-legged friend.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
