Nahant Doggie Beach

Got a hankering to spend a day taking in some sand and surf? Nahant Doggie Beach is the place for you! Situated in the charming seaside retreat of Nahant, Nahant Doggie Beach rests on the same property as the main pawblic beach known as Nahant Beach. The dog beach is cordoned off from the main area by a causeway, giving doggoes and their owners lots of privacy to romp and play to their heart's content. 

You will find this seaside village is not far from Boston proper, allowing you to enjoy a day in the sun while still not being far from the amenities of big city life. You may bring your pooch in all areas of Nahant Doggie Beach, but Fido must remain on a leash at all times. Dog access to this sandy haven is only permitted from October 1st through April 30th. 

Though there is no fee to use the beach, pawrking will cost you $3 if you opt to pawrk in the lot provided for use by visitors to the main beach. You will discover that there is a bit of a walk from the main lot to the dog beach, but you and your best canine pal will enjoy it as the journey is quite picturesque.

This pawsome beach has something for every member of the family to enjoy, whether of the canine or human variety! The soft sand provides the pawrfect place to build sand castles or just to have some fun digging. You could even enjoy a picnic along the coast, but you will need to bring a packed lunch along with you. The water is calm at Nahant Doggie Beach, making it an ideal location for you and your pooch to practice your very best doggy paddle. Don't forget to pack a bag which includes bottled water, cleanup sacks, and some sunscreen for you and Fido too!
