Description
If you're looking to spend a quiet day by the sea, consider a visit to Oil Piers Beach! This long stretch of coastal paradise finds its home between Mussel Shoals and the Seacliff Beach Colony. Formerly the site of multiple oil piers which were permanently removed in 1998, the property is now a favorite haunt of beach-loving people and their pooches.

Today, there is one remaining oil platform which forms a pathway from Mussel Shoals to Rincon Island. This pier is an impressive sight to behold, and is visible from the banks of this lovely beach. You won't want to leave your camera at home on this trip as the views of the pier and the nearby Channel Islands offer amateur photographers the chance to catch some truly pawsome shots!

If you love to surf, this pawrific spot is the place for you. This woofderful beach is not the best place for beginners to swim, as the waters are known to be rather choppy. If you feel brave enough to battle the waves, you and your best canine pal are welcome to go for a dip, but be sure to keep a lifejacket on Fido and to maintain a close distance to him at all times. Don't forget to bring a leash with you to keep the local paw-lice on the fur-iendly side.

Love to walk along the sandy shores of the beach? Oil Piers Beach will not disappoint! You can meander the coastline at your leisure with your favorite furry friend for company as dogs are welcome at this pawsitively awesome seaside haven.

If a picnic sounds like your cup of tea, you can pull up a chair along the coast and take in the glorious view over a packed lunch or snack. Don't forget to include some treats and bottled water for Fido too! While you're at it, throw some cleanup bags and water in your beach essentials kit, as you will need them.

For a day of fun for Fido and the whole fam, plan a visit to Oil Piers Beach. It's furrific!
