Aux Arc

When it comes to enjoying the Arkansas River Valley, there's no better way to do so than camping at Aux Arc Campground on the shores of Ozark Lake. This large campground has 91 campsites, each with lots of space to give you privacy from your neighbors. Plenty of trees also surround the area, so you'll get plenty of shade on hot days. Ozark Lake extends for 36 miles along the Arkansas River, and your position at Aux Arc Campground is the perfect place to enjoy all it has to offer!

Dogs are welcome to join their families on their camping trip, but be sure to clean up after your pup and keep them on a leash when they aren't in your tent or trailer. You'll likely encounter other creatures during your stay, including deer, rabbit, squirrels, geese, quail, and duck. These animals live on the public land that surrounds the campground that is often used for hunting -- this is another reason it's so important to keep your dog on a leash!

Your campsite at Aux Arc comes with electric and water hookups, a fire ring, and a picnic table. The campground also has two playgrounds, hot showers, a dump station, a boat ramp, and paved roads.

The busiest time of year at Aux Arc is from the beginning of March to the end of October, and guests are welcome to stay for a maximum of 14 days. If you're of a certain age, be sure to ask for a senior's rate for your stay. If you're camping with a large group, you can book one of three picnic shelters ahead of time for a great place to host events.

There are several wineries near the campground, including two of the largest in the state in the nearby city of Altus, Arkansas, which is only seven miles away.
