Description

The Ozark Mountains are famous for their rugged beauty, hidden caverns, and spectacular rivers and waterfalls. If you want to sample some of the best this magnificent part of the world has to offer, you could do a whole lot worse than head to Blanchard Springs Recreation Area.

Located in the Ozark National Forest, this beautiful spot offers a long list of awesome experiences for outdoor enthusiasts. The first thing you do will probably be to take a short stroll along the paved trail to the spot where Blanchard Springs turns into a beautiful waterfall. It's the ideal place to start your Ozarks experience and maybe snap off a few photos.

That done, it's time to enjoy all the recreational activities on offer in this idyllic part of the world. You can swim in the crystal-clear waters of North Sylamore Creek, go fishing for rainbow trout in nearby Mirror Lake, or set off on a hike that's as short or as long as you like.

A visit to Blanchard Springs Caverns is also a must. These breathtaking caves are full of underground wonders, and a variety of tours are on offer throughout the year to suit different difficulty levels.

Blanchard Springs Recreation Area also offers a picturesque campground with options for group or individual camping. Flush toilets, showers, and picnic areas are all provided, and pets are welcome to stay right by your side. You'll need to make sure your pet is well behaved and under your control at all times, and that you always remember to clean up after your furry friend.

Apart from that, the only thing you need to worry about is having a grrr-eat time! With so many outdoor activities on offer and so much beautiful natural scenery to admire, you and your pet will want to stay for as long as possible.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
