You are only 10 miles from Hot Springs National Park as well, making it a great place to camp if you want quick access to this beautiful park. You also have access to the Geo-Float Trail, a self-guided boat tour, tons of hiking trails throughout the mountains, fishing, and scuba diving - all favorite activities at this campsite.Â
Campsites have electric hookups; you will have a dump station, fish cleaning area, showers, restrooms, boat ramp, a playground for the kids, and a sandy beach for relaxing in the sun and swimming in a clear, blue lake. You will also have access to clean water. Peak season is between May and September every year.Â
You will have both shady and sunny areas throughout the campsite and park, so it will depend on which site you choose. There are no poop bags at the site, so bring your own so you can clean up after your dog goes to the bathroom. Discard any poop bags at the dump station. Your dog should remain on their leash. If you take your dog on a hike with you, also make sure you have water for them so they do not overheat and remain hydrated.Â
Overall, if you love beach, lakes, and stunning mountains with tons of hiking opportunities, this is the perfect campground to try out next. You and your dog will love staying here and staring at the gorgeous views all weekend long!Â
