Clubhouse Lake Campground is a furrific vacation destination in northern Minnesota where you can camp out with your dog on a beautiful lake. Its scenic setting and proximity to a wealth of outdoor recreation sites make it one of the area’s top campgrounds, as do its well-maintained facilities. You're sure to love the campground’s surroundings as well — it's set in Chippewa National Forest, a vast expanse of protected land with over 600,000 acres for you and your woofer to explore!
Clubhouse Lake Campground has 29 sites to choose from. Each site can accommodate up to 8 campers for a nightly fee of $16. You’ll have access to the campground’s pawesome amenities and services throughout your stay as well, which include drinking water, trash collection, recycling, and firewood.
While you’re camping at Clubhouse Lake, you will have lots of activities available to fill your time. The lake is a great location for fishing for bass, panfish, and northern pike. You can also hang out and go for a swim at Clubhouse Lake’s sandy beach (though Fido will have to sit this one out!). Paddlers will enjoy exploring the lake, which connects to the Rice River Canoe Route.
There are also many dog-friendly trails you can explore in the area. Chase Point Trail is one of the most popular trails in the area just north of the campground. It is an easy, out-and-back trail that winds two miles through woods next to Sandwick Lake. Spruce Island Lake Trail is another one you might want to check out. Spanning about 5 miles with an elevation gain of over 500 feet, it's a little more difficult, but your effort will be rewarded with amazing views of Deer Lake and its surrounding forest.
Please ensure that your dog stays on-leash throughout your stay at Clubhouse Lake. Also remember to clean up after your dog at the campground to keep this spot open to canines!
