Description

Council Group Campground is one of the most popular locations in southern California for large group camping. It rests in San Bernardino National Forest, and this amazing setting provides the perfect backdrop for your next group camping adventure. You will enjoy the well-kept facilities throughout your time at the campground, and if you choose to venture out into the surrounding area, you will find lots of fun things to do. Best of all, you can bring your dog with you because Council Group Campground is pet-friendly!

The campground can accommodate up to fifty campers at once, so you can feel free to bring along lots of people. The nightly fee for staying at Council Group Campground is $220, and there is an additional charge of $10 on holidays. Your group will have access to a number of useful amenities, including six picnic tables, three double-pedestal grills, two single-pedestal grills, and two campfire rings.

There are also plenty of ways to explore the surrounding area and experience all that San Bernardino National Forest has to offer. Jenks Lake is close to the campground and provides a great opportunity for fishing and boating, and it even has a picnic area that you can use with your group. You’ll find numerous trails nearby where you can hike and catch a glimpse of the amazing wildlife that populates this region. The Rio Monte Trail is a popular choice for hikers and is located close to the campground. This trail connects to the Rio Monte Panorama, a site with very picturesque views of the Santa Ana River Valley below.

When you’re planning your trip to Council Group Campground, note that there is a minimum stay of two days on weekends and three days on holiday weekends. Also, dogs must remain on-leash at all times. Remember that you are in a bear zone, so you should take proper precautions regarding the storage and disposal of food and waste.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
