Lobo Group Campground rests in the scenic woods of southern California’s San Bernardino National Forest. The nicely shaded campsite is seated within the Barton Flats Recreation Area, and it provides access to numerous activities that can be enjoyed throughout your camping trip. The campsite is also known for its amazing scenery of dense pines and nearby lakes. More importantly, you are welcome to bring your canine companion along with you for an unforgettable camping adventure!
The campsite is located at an elevation of about 6,400 feet, and it can accommodate up to 75 people and 15 vehicles at once. It has many features that will make your stay a pleasant and comfortable one, including picnic tables, a grill, a fire ring, and flush toilets. You’ll have plenty of things to do throughout your stay as well. The area is known for its great hiking trails, including the Santa Ana River Trail. You can visit the nearby lake for fishing as well, and it is stocked with rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and other types of fish. There is an amphitheater close by that hosts educational programs on most weekends, and these are a great way to learn about the history of the area. Or, of course, you can hang out at the campsite and enjoy the great company of your dog!
There are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind when you’re visiting Lobo Group Campground. The first is that bears frequent the area, so make sure to take precautions concerning food storage and disposal. Also note that this campground requires a minimum stay of two days on weekends, and a three-day minimum stay on holiday weekends.
