While staying at this campground, you are in close proximity to Big Bear Lake, Ana River Trail, Wildhorse Creek Trail, meadows, and mountains. Swimming, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing are some of the most popular activities people like to do in the area.
At the actual campground, there are lots of trees to give an ample amount of shade at most campsites. Many of the sites are private, but others will have less privacy due to the lack of low-growing trees and branches. Although you are close to Big Bear Lake, which attracts many visitors a day, it is still far enough away from the hustle and bustle that your campsite will still feel private and quiet.
Campsites are singles, doubles, and there are places for RV camping as well, but there are no hookups or electricity. However, you will have access to a convenient dump station, drinking water, trash collection, and a parking area. All campsites have fire rings, grills, and picnic tables. You are also able to bring your dog, but you must clean up after them and make sure they are non-aggressive and don't excessively bark. Make sure your dog has lots of drinking water and a cool, comfortable place to sleep.
Overall, Heart Bar Campground has the view, the location, and the activities in an area most people want when they go camping. We are confident you will not feel disappointed about spending the weekend here with your pup and loved ones!
