The Cricket Creek Campground is located on the Table Rock Lake in Arkansas. The campsite itself runs along the lake’s Long Creek Arm and offers some of the best scenic views in the area. Here you can go boating, fishing, relax at the beach, or take in the view of the Ozarks.
The spacious campsite has 37 campsites that can be reserved but are also available on a first come first serve basis, but it's best to book ahead in the busy Spring months. All sites have electric and water hook-ups, and a dump station is available too. Hickory and oak trees provide ample shade on all campsites and for those looking for a quieter break, the campground tends to be a bit crowded in the spring months, but not during the summer, so this is a bonus.Â
Thanks to its remote and quiet location, the campground is popular among those who wish to kick back and relax. It’s a family-oriented campground featuring a playground, volleyball court, and beach access. A full-service marina with a boat ramp is also available on the campgrounds, offering everything from fishing licenses and groceries to boat rentals and fuel. The Table Rock Lake is known as one of the best bass fishing lakes in the world, but catfish, bluegill, and crappie are also found in abundance here. Â
The clear waters of the lake are popular among divers, because of what is submerged making it partly an underwater attraction. Pets are also welcome on this campground, but if you are bringing your dog along, make sure you keep them leashed when outside of your vehicle. You can go anywhere on the campground with your dog as long as they are on a leash no longer than 6ft. While there does not seem to be any other restrictions when it comes to pets, it’s best to call ahead and check. Keep your dog on their best behavior, remember to bring poop bags, and clean up after your dog.
