Nearby, The Lowndes Wildlife Management area boasts a hunting ground for wild turkeys, whitetail deer, hogs, waterfowl, and small game. The hunting ground covers quite a large area and is estimated at an average of 12,500 acres in total. It is open all year round. Within the campground, itself, is also a basketball court and playground to entertain groups and visitors to the area.
In total there are approximately 142 sites available at the campsite, 75 of them being newly built and offering concrete pads and sewers. There are various amenities available in all sites such as flushing toilets, laundry facilities, dump stations, drinking water and shower stations. There is also a picnic shelter nearby for families and groups to fire up the BBQ for a lovely meal. There are outdoor pits and waist high pits.
