Millers Ferry Campground

Millers Ferry Campground is located in Dannelly Reservoir in Alabama's Black Prairie Belt. There are more than 500 miles of shoreline at the reservoir and much of that shoreline is accessible at the campground. This medium-sized campground has 42 family-sized sites, all with electrical hookups. 

Furthermore, you will have access to flush toilets, showers, fresh drinking water, laundry facilities, and a dump station. The campground and surrounding area are known for their dark soil, dense pine forests, and lots of sprawling grasslands. There are plenty of shaded areas in the campground for cooling off from the sun, but you can also opt for lots of sunshine and open space as well. There are tons of hiking opportunities, and hunting is common in this area as well. Wild turkey and deer are the main animals to hunt in the area. 

Millers Ferry has a playground for the kids, a dock, boat ramp, swimming, fish cleaning stations, and a general store and gas stations is close to the site. Many festivals are held throughout the area at various times of the year, which as fun to enjoy while you are camping at Millers Ferry.  

Pets are allowed at the campground, so that means you can bring your dog along with you. Poop bags are likely not provided, so make sure you bring your own so you can clean up after your dog. Always make sure your dog is on a leash and it is likely your dog is not allowed in the showers or the restrooms. 

Overall, Millers Ferry is a great campground if you are looking for a quiet location away from the road, want a big lake for swimming and fishing, and if you like to hunt while you camp as well. Fido will also love they can come and spend the time with you as well!
