Hill Creek is a pawesome campground that’s located on beautiful Greers Ferry Lake. Thirty out of the campground's forty sites have electric hook-ups, so whether you prefer to go glamping with Fido or you want to "ruff" it, you have options! Hill Creek Campground is located in a thick, shady forest, and it’s filled with amenities you and your pup will both love.
While you’re at Hill Creek, you and your dog will find lots of fun things to do together. If you’d like to hike, there’s one multi-purpose trail and three National Nature Trails located near the campground. These trails take you through the forest around the campground, which is filled with red cedar, sweet gums, black gum, pecan, red oak, and elm trees. You may also get to see some of the forest’s native wildlife as you’re hiking, including a wide variety of songbirds and water birds, wild turkeys, whitetail deer, and every dog’s favorite: squirrels!
You can also spend time enjoying Greers Ferry Lake while you’re at Hill Creek Campground. If you’re bringing a boat, there’s a boat ramp and a marina available at the campground, or you can go fishing from the dock. You can also simply relax on the lake’s lovely sandy beach. Swimming is also permitted at Greers Ferry Lake — dogs will have to sit this activity out, though, since they’re not permitted in the swimming area, even on-leash.
When you and your pup get hungry, you can have lunch, dinner, or a snack together at one of the campground’s scenic picnic tables. If you’re thirsty, there are numerous water spigots around the campground you can use to fill your water bottle.
Hill Creek is a beautiful lakeside campground that’s perfect for hikers, boaters, fishermen, and swimmers! Bring some doggy bags with you so you can clean up after your dog while you’re camping, and enjoying spending time at this scenic, peaceful campground!
