Isaac Creek

Isaac Creek campground in the SW Hill Country of Alabama is located on the shores of Claiborne Lake, making it a prime spot for fishing and water sports. Naturalists wishing to relax and enjoy activities like bird watching will also have their fill here, where there are over 60 avian species to spot.

The campground is open all year round and offers 60 back-in and pull-thru sites equipped with electric and water hook-ups. The grounds are divided into two distinct parts: sites closer to Claiborne Lake and Alabama River, and sites closer to Isaac Creek.

All the sites are in prime condition, are clean, level and paved. Each site has a BBQ, fire pit where you can set up the campfire, and picnic table to enjoy dining at. The Claiborne Lake sites are spacious and open, while the Isaac Creek sites are hidden between thick woods and offer more privacy.

Isaac Creek campground is well maintained and equipped, with picnic shelters, fish cleaning stations, access to showers, flush toilets, a dump station, and even laundry facilities. Plus, the staff is always present and helpful. There are several playgrounds on the premises where children can climb, use swings and slides, and a basketball court is accessible to both kids and adults, which can also be used for volleyball or tennis. The grounds have a boat ramp for easy boat launches for those who prefer water. 

The campground allows domestic pets and dogs to visit. It's important to note that when on the camping grounds, you will have to keep your dog leashed and under control so they don’t disturb other campers by walking onto their campsites or by excessive barking. Plus, there are alligators in the area so don't let your pooch wander too far out of sight! Always clean up after your dog and leave your campsite as you found it.
