This 40-acre, dog-friendly, family-owned campground offers a blend of modern amenities, rustic charm, and excellent personal service. Located in southeast Alabama, the campground welcomes you, your dog, and even your RV. They keep adding projects, so there’s often something new to look forward to on your next trip here.
The parking for RVs is in a large circle. Across the road, there’s a great, big field where your doggo can run and play to their heart’s content. Both Park Rangers and campground hosts are reported to be very helpful and nice.
The sites are mostly level and have complete hookups with excellent cable TV. They also have a swimming pool, a small mini golf course, and even laundry! While there is no dog park as such, there is a lot of room for a dog to run and enjoy.
RV sites, boating & camping, tent camping – all are offered at Lake Eufaula Campground! Even if you’re not a camper, you can rent a cabin or RV. You can get tent spaces close to the creek or the pool with water and electricity. Firewood is available at reasonable prices. If you and Fido are visiting as part of a larger group, the campground will try their best to meet your needs (e.g. provide an Army M.A.S.H. tent that can sleep up to 10 people.)Â
The campground also serves as a good base camp for your hunting trip. Bow hunting, in particular, is quite popular at the Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge. The hiking trail is excellent for observing local wildflowers, birds, and ponds.
You will also find a small dock that overlooks the waterfront and there are plenty of trees. You and your canine friend will want to stay longer here and when you do, you can get discounts as well. All in all, it’s a nice getaway. Just remember to clean up after you dog, doing your part to maintain the place for yourself and others.
