There are woodlands surrounding the lake. During your visit, you are likely to spy many species of wildlife, such as white-tailed deer, bobcat, raccoons, and snakes.
Campers have a year-round choice in accommodations. The campgrounds are available for tents and small RVs. Tent campers can have up to two tents on a site with options for electricity or no electric service. The rates are based on two adults per site. Children are free. More adults may stay with an additional, nominal charge. There are a variety of cabins for rent. The smallest cabins are for 1 to 4 people and have a tiny porch. If you want a larger accommodation with beds, there are standard cabins for two people, cottage cabins with a double bed and a hide-a-bed, and family cabins with two double beds and a queen. These neat, little cabins have a porch and seating for relaxing out of doors.
Dogs are welcome to this recreation area and campground. Some cabins will allow dogs also. Always clean up after your pooch and properly deposit the doggie-doo bag. It is also wise to keep your dog on a leash when in public places and on the campground. Never leave your pet unattended or tethered outside.
