Among the tall hardwoods of southern Mississippi, you will find the hidden gem that is Little Black Creek Campground and Park. The large, family-owned campground in Lumberton, Mississippi offers the perfect place for relaxation if you are looking for a quiet, stunning setting with clean facilities, breathtaking sunsets, and accommodating hosts.
The campground features over 100 RV sites, numerous primitive tent sites, and around 20 cabins and bungalows. There are three different types of cozy cabins you can choose from: the Millenial, a two-story cabin, or an A-frame. Both the cabins and bungalows overlook the lake or fish-filled pond. Some are more secluded than others and most come with a porch to relax on.
All the sites come equipped with concrete pads, picnic tables, and campfire rings. There are full hookups available at 82 sites, and two electrical outlets can be found at each tent site. The campsites are spacious and offer enough privacy for patrons to enjoy without feeling like they are camping with strangers. The primitive sites are $20 per night, water and electric sites are $30, and full hookup sites are $33 per night. Fees for cabins start at $160 per night or $110 for bungalows. If you are just visiting, you can check out the facilities for a daily fee of $3 per adult or $2 per child up to 12 years of age.
Pets are more than welcome here, with a few caveats. Dogs aren't allowed at the beach area. Only 2 pets are allowed to stay with you, though the rules say management does make exceptions in some cases. Unlike many campgrounds, dogs are allowed to stay in the cabins here for a non-refundable $50 pet deposit. Additional charges may apply if Fido causes any damage during your stay.
When it comes to facilities, the campground features flush toilets, hot showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station. There are a few playgrounds on-site, as well as a swimming beach with boat rentals, zip-lining, and so much more to discover. Whether you decide to spend your days with your toes (or paws!) in the sand, out on the water with a fishing rod, ziplining through the majestic forests, exploring on bike trails, or lounging in your log cabin, your stay at Little Black Creek Campground & Park will leave you happy and well-rested.
