Description

If you and your pup are looking for a beautiful waterside campground, Maumelle is perfect for you! This pawesome campground has 128 campsites that all offer electrical hookups and fire pits. The majority of these campgrounds are shaded, and many offer great views of the Arkansas River. While you’re at the campground, you’ll find tons of pawsitively amazing things for you and your pup to do!

One of the most popular activities for campers at Maumelle Campground is fishing. Maumelle offers a dock where you can try your luck catching fish. Plus, if you’re bringing a boat with you, the campground also has a boat ramp you can use. While you’re fishing, you may get to see some of the eagles that live in the area.

If you’d like to spend your time hiking, there’s one trail that goes through the campground: the 0.4-mile Nuttall Trail. This paved, mostly flat trail takes you through a beautiful wooded area that’s filled with native wildlife. If you’d like to go on a longer hike, Pinnacle Mountain State Park is just two miles down the road. This park has 13 miles of picturesque trails to explore with your pup, and the trails range from easy to strenuous. If all this hiking makes you thirsty, drinking water is available at Maumelle Campground.

After your hike, you can relax and enjoy some of Maumelle’s many other great amenities, including a basketball court, a playground, and picnic shelters. At night, you can build a fire in your fire pit and relax under the stars with your pup.

Maumelle is a beautiful campground that offers scenic views of the Arkansas River and plenty of furrific hiking opportunities. Remember to bring doggy bags so you can clean up after your pup while you’re camping, and have a fun time in the great outdoors with your furry best friend!
