If you’re looking for a cozy campground near Grenada Lake, the North Abutment Campground is one of your best choices. The campground is located in Grenada, Mississippi and can be easily accessed from Memphis and Jackson. Equipped with 88 shaded RV sites, this is an excellent lake gateway for water sports enthusiasts and anglers. Since the campground is pet-friendly, dog parents and their beloved fur-balls are welcome here too.

All sites come equipped with water and electric hookups, as well as a picnic table and a fire ring, while some sites also feature sewer hookups. You will find bathrooms with hot showers, flushing toilets, and potable water. The RV sites start from $20 per night and are level, paved and big-rig friendly. There is plenty of space for you, your family, friends and your canine companion to have all the outdoor fun you've been waiting for -- enjoy playing ball, watch your four-pawed buddy chase a frisbee, or change into your lake-friendly apparel and cool down in the water.

Since the campground is just a short walk from the fish-filled Grenada Lake, the main attractions focus around water-based activities. The Grenada Lake is renowned for its natural beauty and popularity amongst the watersport and fishing enthusiasts. Its waters are filled with bass, bream, crappie, and catfish. You can traverse the lake using jet skis or on a boat -- in which case your four-legged companion can be the captain. There are dog-friendly hiking trails that loop around the lake, and if you don’t mind a short drive, you can also golf at the Dogwoods Golf Course.

While the area is relatively safe and dangerous wildlife rarely roams the area, make sure to be aware of the less immediately obvious dangers -- the lush greenery can still harbor ticks, and mosquitoes can be encountered by the lake. Additionally, on trails and the campground itself, make sure that your four-pawed buddy is always leashed and cleaned up after. Pack plenty of doggie bags, because they aren’t provided here.
