Notrebes Bend Park

The Notrebes Bend Park is located right on the Arkansas River. This park is located close to Merrisach Lake and the Arkansas Post Canal. This is a small campground which offers a view of the Mississippi Flyway where millions of birds use it to reach the Gulf of Mexico once they migrate in that area.

This park asks that pooches be kept on-leash for their stay, and that those with paws stay away from the designated swim areas. It's also always a good idea to have poop bags with you to clean up any messes that may happen. Reservations should be made from 6 months to three days ahead of your arrival date. You also need to purchase local firewood in Arkansas before proceeding to this site as well.

There are 30 campsites in total for this park, offering electrical hookups and freshwater supplies. The park has shower areas near the lake, as well as a place for throwing trash away for an eco-friendly solution. The shower rooms are just near the swimming, boating, and fishing areas of the Arkansas River, which is located at the West of this park. The campsite also offers a full, breathtaking view of the river. 

The Nortrebes Bed Park contains many anglers as part of its wildlife. It has an abundance of largemouth bass, bream, catfish, and even crappies. You can also go birding due to the beautiful variety of birds that fly around the park. Additionally, you can go hiking in the mountainous areas of the park, allowing you to spend more time appreciating the beauty of nature. This is a dog-friendly park, so be sure to bring Fido!
