Oak Park Kampground

If you are searching for a place filled with amenities that will allow you to spend some much-needed family time away from the hustle and bustle of city life, look no further than the Oak Park Kampground. Located in Garfield, Minnesota among central Minnesota’s lake area, the park will provide a comfortable base for all outdoor enthusiasts.

The 43-acre campground consists of 59 sites that accommodate RV and tent camping. The rolling-hill terrain is covered with well-kept grass, while the lush, mature trees provide plenty of shade during hot summer days. Campsites are equipped with electric hookups for the RVs, picnic tables, and fire rings. The campground also features flush toilets, hot showers, laundry rooms, playgrounds, and a swimming pool.

The surrounding lakes offer tons of fishing opportunities. Grab your boat (or rent one) and spend a day out on the water with your canine companion at one of the nearby lakes. Pick a hiking trail and unwind as you explore the wilderness. If you would rather move around on two wheels, there are biking trails here as well. However, if you’d prefer just to lay back and relax by the pool or cozy up by the fire pit, that’s completely fine too.

You'll find plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy right on-site. Play a friendly game of catch at the softball field, or challenge your fellow campers to a game of horseshoes. Be sure to check the campground's calendar for any planned activities, including holiday celebrations and children's programs. If you need a snack or forgot something at home, paw on over to the campground store.

Although four-legged fur-balls are welcome at the campground, the park’s rules state that barking should be kept at a minimum so as not to disturb the other campers. Please be sure to keep your pooch on their best behavior during your time at Oak Park Kampground. That includes always keeping your four-pawed friends leashed and cleaned up after.
