Park Ridge RV Campground
The Park Ridge RV Campground is situated off of Interstate 40 on Exit 3, offering 57 shaded sites. Located on Lee Creek in Van Buren, the campground offers a nice combination of camp life with modern comforts such as Wi-Fi and heated restrooms.
If you are looking for an enjoyable and comfortable camping site with Fido, this is it. All sites have full hook-up, while 27 of them are pull-through. 30 and 50-amp electricity and plenty of road parking are available. The sites are long enough that you won’t need to unhook. They can accommodate big rigs. Laundry, pavilion, playground, and clubhouse are some of the facilities that make the stay worth your while. A sanitary dump station is also available.
You can bring gas and charcoal grills while wood bundles are available on the grounds. If you have a pup, you will appreciate the grassy areas where you can walk them. You may want to leash your dog in some parts as there are many cats in the area - unless you’re okay with your dog spending a lot of time chasing them!
The scores of mature pecan trees make the campground quite shady, so you and your doggo can easily cool off in the summer. Getting your satellite TV can be an issue during summer due to the trees; you can get a cable TV box for a $70 deposit. Make sure to use a water pressure gauge. Overall, it’s a nice place to have a peaceful week.
It’s very convenient to access the campground from I-40. The owners of the place are described as friendly and accommodating. They were working on upgrades across the grounds in May 2018. There is a nice, little gift shop in the office and the overall feel is safe and rural. Remember to do your part by keeping Fido under control and cleaning up after them.
