Prairie Creek (AR)

Located on the shores of Beaver Lake in NW Arkansas, the Prairie Creek Campground offers 114 campsites with an abundance of recreation options. It is a high-class campground popular throughout the summer season and this means you’ll need to ring and reserve for the best spot.

The campsites are spacious with lots of shade, and all can be reserved. All sites are quite large, providing lots of space for activities, and there are three multifamily shelters available, too. Including the largest, Grand Shelter, that can host up to 300 guests. Most sites support RVs and tents and have electric hook-ups. Each site is big enough for 3 tents or an RV + tent. There are two pull-thru sites available, while others are back-in.

The grounds have a sand volleyball court and playground, making it a great spot for a family getaway. Prairie Creek Campground is surrounded by natural caves and limestone bluffs and located only a short drive away from shopping and dining sites. There are also plenty of tourist attractions in the area, some of which include the Eureka Springs and Pea Ridge National Military Park. 

The range of activities supported in and around the campground is vast and includes hiking on nearby trails, fishing, boating, picnicking, swimming and other water sports, scuba diving, and spelunking in the nearby caves. A five-lane boat ramp can easily launch any boat and provides easy access to the lake. Fishing is among the most popular activities, thanks to the variety of fish found in Beaver Lake – from crappie, stripers, catfish, and bream, to varieties of bass, including small and largemouth bass. There are several marinas around the lake, providing fuel, fishing gear, camping supplies, and boat rentals.
