If you find yourself headed to Vicksburg, Mississippi, booking an expensive hotel room may not be the way to go. River Town Campground offers all the amenities you need, clean restrooms, and even a forest out the back! Being closer to nature also makes it much easier to bring your furry friend along for the trip -- and what could be better than that?
The grounds boast 108 full-hookup campsites with an additional overflow tent area as well. Don't expect much in the way of privacy and be prepared to set up near a busy highway, though guests maintain the traffic noise doesn't seem to travel into the facility. WiFi is available throughout the property but isn't strong enough for streaming services, so prepare to hotspot when you need to get your Netflix fix. The campground offers everything you need to keep your motorhome in ship-shape, including a wash station, on-site RV services, and gas. Rates to stay start at $24.61 per night, but this is the discounted rate for military personnel, Good Sam members, and senior citizens. Contact the campground for more information on rates.
River Town is just a short drive to downtown Vicksburg -- home to casinos, restaurants, and even a military park! When you're not sightseeing or living it up in town, you can laze around the park or go for a dip in the pool! Kiddos will love burning off all that pent-up energy from road-tripping at the on-site playground, and the pavilion on the grounds is perfect for hosting group events. While there isn't a designated off-leash area, there is a nice patch of grass where you and your woofer can stroll around to clock in your daily exercise.
Speaking of your canine pal, you'll be pleased to know that this park does not enforce a long list of strict rules for their four-legged guests. Please be respectful of other campers during your stay and clean up all waste your fur-baby leaves behind.
Switch things up on your next trip to Vicksburg and check out River Town Campground!
