Sherwood Forest Campground

If you're looking for a vacation destination where you can enjoy lakeside views, fresh air, and peace and quiet, Sherwood Forest Campground in Gilbert, Minnesota might just be the spot for you and your family! This place is an angler’s paradise with an on-site boat launch, fishing pier, and swimming beach that will keep the whole family entertained. 

The pet-friendly campground sits by Lake Ore-be-gone and has a well-thought-out layout that consists of 59 sites, 44 of which accommodate RVs and trailers, while the other 15 are set aside for tent campers. There are pull-through sites, and big rigs of up to 100 feet in length are welcome. The campground is equipped with restrooms with clean flush toilets and hot showers, as well as a dump station. 

In case you start missing civilization, the campground is just a walk away from several restaurants and shops. However, you won't have to leave your cozy campsite if you are out of ice or low on firewood. The campground’s on-site store is well-stocked and has all the camping essentials. Although you will be too busy enjoying the outdoors to use it, the campground does have WiFi available, so take plenty of photos and send them to your family and friends! 

If you’re traveling with kids, you’ll be happy to discover a playground in addition to the swimming beach that will help keep them entertained. Tent sites without any utilities start at $28 per night, while 30-amp electric sites with water are $31 per night, or $33 if you want a sewer connection. For $36 per night, campers will get a 50-amp hookup. If you plan to stay long-term at Sherwood Forest Campground, full-service sites start at $500 per month.
