Because of the expansive forest surrounding the campground, you and your woofer will be sure to see some deer, turkey, rabbits, squirrels, and birds galore, right from your own backyard!
In terms of the campground and sites itself, you will find 94 sites here with over half of them offering water and electric hookups. They also have showers, toilets (vault and flush), water for drinking, and a dump station all on the property. It's also super-easy to make friends - there are 17 other campgrounds within hiking distance all around the lakes, so you and your woofer are sure to never be bored!
The boat ramp means that you can bring your boat along for you and the furry BFF to float on the lake! Even if you don't have one, you can head down to the Marina and rent one for the day! In addition to boating, Greers Ferry Lake is popular for sailing, water skiing, swimming, and even scuba diving in the lake's fresh waters! The waters of the lake are crystal clear, so you can see critters from above and below, and it makes a great, refreshing lake for swimming.
Want to get off of the water? Head to the Sugar Loaf Mountain Island Nature Trail! This trail is actually on an island in the nearby lake. Even though you need a boat to get there, it is totally worth it, as the trail takes you up over 1000 feet giving you truly incredible views.
