Traveling around Miami in an RV? Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park might just be the "pawfect" spot to rest your heads! Located next door to Zoo Miami, this expansive park covers more than 270 acres and features a campground with 240 full-hookup sites for RVs. Canine campers are welcome in the RV park, but must steer clear of the tent camping areas.

#2. Miami Everglades RV Resort

One of the top-rated campgrounds in "muttropolitan" Miami, this resort is the ultimate kid-friendly destination. Endless outdoor games, including mini-golf, pickleball, and darts, will keep your camping crew occupied for hours. Your pup can also let loose in the on-site dog park. The events calendar always features something fun to do, too. However, this resort has a long list of breed restrictions, so read the pet policy before booking your site.

All the standard amenities are available here, including restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and electric hookups. Try saying that five times fast! Located roughly 20 miles north of Miami, this family-friendly park, also known as T.Y. Park, features all the activities and amenities you and Fifi could "pawssibly" want or need. Play outdoor sports, cool off in the on-site water park, or test your angling prowess in the 40-acre fishing lake. Pets are welcome, but specific pet policies aren't listed; contact the park directly with inquiries.

#7. Southern Comfort RV Park

Just over 40 minutes south of Miami, this RV park delivers all the Florida fun you can handle. After a long day spent playing games and swimming in the heated pool, you can relax with an adult beverage at the park's tiki bar. Doggos are welcome to join in the fun, but unfortunately, restrictions apply. Canine campers must be under 40 lbs., and Dobermans, Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Chows, and Akitas are prohibited.

#8. Boardwalk RV Resort

Want to camp out a little closer to the city? Consider Boardwalk RV Resort in Homestead, situated 40 miles southwest of Miami. Boardwalk features fun activities alongside useful amenities. Grab a bestseller from the lending library, challenge your fellow campers to a game of shuffleboard or volleyball, or simply relax in the heated pool. Canine campers are welcome, but Pit Bull hybrids are prohibited.

#9. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

Miami is the gateway to the famous Florida Keys, home to the beautiful and biodiverse John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. The main attraction here is the park's boat tours, which allow visitors to marvel at coral reefs and colorful fish through a glass-bottomed vessel. Although dogs aren't allowed in buildings or boats, they're welcome in the campground and on the trails. Pennekamp is located roughly an hour and a half south of Miami.

#10. Peanut Island Campground

This 80-acre tropical "pawadise" two hours north of Miami features all your Florida favorites: palm trees, sandy beaches, and plenty of outdoor activities.
