Description
War Eagle Campground is located in Arkansas and sits along the shores of Beaver Lake, one of the largest lakes in the region. It is also a part of the Ozark Mountains. The site features large camping areas that are spacious and have tons of room to spread out. The campground is a favorite, so be prepared for lots of people - especially if you are camping in the summertime.

The area has plenty of activities the whole family will enjoy, including your fur baby. You can explore stunning limestone bluffs, large caves, and gaze upon the beautiful pine trees in the forest. Of course, you can also enjoy the wonder of the large lake and the dam. Swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, and hunting are some favorite pastimes for campers at War Eagle.

The campground has lots of shade, making it perfect for tent camping and relaxing away from the heat of the sun. You will also find fire rings for campfires, picnic tables to eat your meals and prepare your food, restrooms with flushing toilets are onsite, and fresh drinking water is available to refill your water bottles and doggie bowl.

A boat ramp, a dump station for your trash, a host, hot showers, marina, picnic shelters, paved parking, and a playground for the kids are all apart of the site as well. Your dog is more than welcome to come camping with you at this location. They should wear their leash at all times because of the wildlife roaming around in the area. Poop bags may or may not be provided, so bring your own bags so you can clean up after your dog. Peak season is from May to September.

Overall, War Eagle Campground is an excellent site if you are looking for a combination of mountains, lakes, and forest. There are tons of activities for everyone to enjoy, so put this great campground on your must-go list.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
