White Oak (Creek) Campground

White Oak Creek Campground is located on the Alabama and Georgia border on Walter F. George Lake. It is a large campground that sits right on the massive 85-mile lake to the Chattahoochee River. This large site has 129 separate camping sites that each have electric and water hookups. This is a very popular place to camp in the summer months because of the great fishing, swimming, boating, and hiking opportunities in the area. The land around the lake is heavily forested and lots of wildlife roam and live in the area as well. 

Within the actual campground, you will find amenities like restrooms, showers, flushing toilets, fresh drinking water, laundry room, and three convenient dump stations. There is also a playground for the kids and tons of open areas with grass that are perfect for running around and play sports and games in. You will also find a boat ramp on the lake and can water ski on the lake as well. 

You are more than welcome to bring your dog to this campground. They even have a special pet area where your dog can play and go to the bathroom. Poop bags are provided in the pet area. Make Sure you clean up after your dog goes to the bathroom and discard the bag in a trash can or one of the three dump stations. Keeping the park clean and sanitary for other dogs and guests is a necessity. Furthermore, always make sure your dog has plenty to drink, especially in the hot summer months and a cool place to lay and relax. AC in an RV, a fan, or shade are important for your dog to have access to.
