The Boone County Dog Park is a beautiful, 4-acre public park located in Burlington, Kentucky. It is considered to be one of the best off-leash dog parks in Northern Kentucky for a multitude of reasons. It has two small dog areas and two large dog areas, allowing you to move your furball from one area to the other in case he doesn’t get along with a particular dog. This also ensures that none of the sections ever get too crowded.
On top of that, there is an agility course enclosure if your pooch is a fan of obstacles and is up for the challenge. All sections are securely fenced and have a double gate entry system, making entering and exiting less stressful and reducing the risk of someone’s dog slipping out.
The park has a well-thought-out landscape and a beautiful layout which consists of tall, green trees and a fishing pond. The grass is always groomed, the dog waste disposal bag stations are always filled, and the park is very well-maintained. All the fenced, off-leash areas provide plenty of clean space for your canine companion to explore as well as shelters and shade to cool off at.
Seating isn’t a problem either as there are many benches for the pet-owners to sit back and relax on. Water fountains can get a little muddy but accommodate both the dogs and their owners. Porta potties are also available at the dog park which is incredibly convenient especially if you end up spending the whole day in this wonderful park.
In addition to being an all-around amazing dog park, it is right by several hiking trails as well as baseball fields, basketball courts, and exercise spots. The variety of available activities will definitely ensure a memorable trip and make it a must-visit dog park if you and your pooch are in the area!
