Jacobson Dog Park

Jacobson Dog Park is located within its namesake park (Jacobson Park) in Lexington, Kentucky. This public park is comprised of eight acres of lush green fields which are divided into two distinct paddock areas which are fully fenced as well as shaded by plenteous trees. This favorite spot has the distinction of being Lexington's first dog park. It was completely renovated in 2014 to replace all of its fencing. At the same time, the on-site hill received a re-design, and the play areas were expanded. The picturesque park is the epitome of rural peace. It is a haven of wide, open spaces for your dog to enjoy. 

The staff of Jacobson Park requires that all attending dogs be socially appropriate and properly immunized according to state requirements. It is also mandated that all dogs making use of the park display the required licensing tag for their state. For the safety of all dogs involved, the park is off limits to dogs under four months of age as well as females in their heat season. Poop bags are provided on site, but park officials request that owners also bring an additional supply in case the on-site dispenser is running low. It is required for all owners to pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste materials. 

This park is off-leash when within the designated fenced areas, but owners are asked to please bring a leash for use when walking their dogs to and from the dog park. Though there is no fee to use this park, donations are accepted, and all funds are used towards the preservation and improvement of the facilities. A water station is provided for your dog's use to keep him well-hydrated during his fun time at the park. While there are some benches on the premises, it is recommended that owners bring lawn chairs with them for their own personal use.
