Cochran Hill Dog Run in Cherokee Park, Louisville, KY

The Cochran Hill Dog Run at Cherokee Park is a members-only dog run in Louisville, KY. Offering two pawtastic areas, one for large, active dogs, and another fully fenced area devoted to small or shy dogs. Both offer shade trees and a covered gazebo, along with comfy benches for their pet parents. A portable restroom and free parking can be found nearby.

The dog enclosures are a mix of grass and dirt. Doggos may get dusty or muddy after a day of fun at the Cochran Hill Dog Run but water stations with hoses can help clean Fido up before his car ride home. Fresh, clean drinking water is also available to keep everyone hydrated. 

This furbulous dog run is accessible to Louisville Dog Run Association members. Membership requires an application and an annual fee of $45 for Louisville residents. Once joined, you'll receive a key fob for access into the park, and a permit tag that your pup must wear while inside the dog run.

While pooches can play leash-free inside the dog run, they must be on a lead outside it. Collars are required with the exception of choke, prong, chain, studded, and Gentle Leaders. All dogs in the doggy playground must wear a current rabies tag along with a Louisville dog license and membership tag. All core vaccines are strongly encouraged as well, along with flea and tick medication. 

Cleaning up after the doggos is convenient with the waste bags and trash containers provided. Not only is this the responsibility of each dog parent, but it's also a nice thing to do to help the other humans and their canine buddies stay clean and healthy.
