The grounds consist of 1.2 acres in total with one fenced enclosure comprised of 0.8 acres dedicated for use by larger dogs, and a separate fenced area of 0.4 acres in place for dogs who are shy, senior, or elderly. Off-leash play is welcomed; however, owners must still monitor all play carefully. It is also mandatory for each owner to have one leash per dog in their care and to not exceed a maximum of three dogs per handler.Â
Brookdale Dog Park is a public doggy playground. Park officials proudly offer entrance to their play spaces at no cost to people and their pooches. The runs are well-equipped with all of the necessary amenities for a great day at the dog park, including agility equipment, drinking water, dog wash stations, and a crushed stone floor which is easy on canine joints. Each enclosure is also equipped with a fenced "safe area" at its entrance to prevent any escape attempts, or simply to provide an area for overexcited dogs to "cool off." Complimentary clean up bags are not supplied, so be sure to bring your own.
All dogs visiting this lovely dog playground needs to be current on vaccinations and licensed with their respective city. Tags must be prominently displayed on each dog's collar. Additionally, food, cigarettes, and prong, pinch, and choke collars are strictly forbidden.
