Washington Dog Park

Washington Park Dog Run is ideally situated between Paterson Plank Road and Palisades Avenue in Union City, New Jersey. This dedicated dog space earns high marks from visitors for its fully fenced in runs with designated areas for use by small dogs and their larger counterparts. These securely fenced enclosures offer ample space for dogs to run and play, ensuring your dog is able to burn off some of his pent-up energy during his visit.

Seating is provided on-site to allow owners to relax while they enjoy observing their dogs at play. Nearby trees offer shady areas to ensure respite from the sun on hot summer days. Fresh water is provided on-site via a fountain and spigot intended for dog use. However, recent visitors to the park have noted that these facilities are currently not operational. For this reason, it is wise to bring a bottle of water and appropriate drinking vessel with you to ensure Fido stays properly hydrated.

Poop bags are provided on-site. Dog owners are asked to assist park officials in keeping the facilities clean by picking up and properly disposing of all canine waste materials in the trash receptacles found on the premises. It is unknown if off-leash play is permitted at this park, but given that the enclosures are fenced, it is quite possible that this is an accepted practice.
