You can find Pooch Park on the eastern end of Cooper River Park, right on North Park Drive. Here you will find parking, and entrance into this off leash paradise!
Since small dogs can often get jostled and even injured when in large dog runs, Pooch Park offers a designated small dog enclosure just for them! There's not much shade in the small dog enclosure, so its best to come later in the day. The large dog section is for all dogs to get their romp on. The terrain here varies between gravel and grass, making playing easy on the paws, and toys are found throughout both areas.
Benches are available for you to relax on while your pup plays with furry pals. Water fountains for humans and dogs are open seasonally in warm weather for when your dog needs a drink break, with water bowls often scattered about. Pooch Park also has clean-up bag dispensers and trash cans for your convenience. Lights are installed for night-time use, making this puptastic park pawfect anytime!
The surrounding Cooper River Park also has much to offer you and your pup. From softball fields, volleyball courts, mini-golf and fishing spots, to trails to wander, picnic areas, a wetland and sculpture garden, there's a lot to explore. Restrooms for humans are also on site. Be sure to keep your pup leashed throughout the entire park once you are out of the dog park.
For a day of fun you'll never forget, bring your playful pup to Pooch Park!
