Church Square Dog Park

If you and your pup want to shake up your daily routine, visit Church Square Park Dog Run. This fenced-in dog park is sure to give you some relief from your bite-sized city apartment and get you and your four-legged friend the fresh air and sunshine you crave. The dog run is located inside the larger Church Square Park that features basketball courts, playgrounds, and plenty of green space. 

The Church Square Park Dog Run has two sections for your little dogs and your big dogs. There are also several benches for you to sit on as you watch your pup play in the run. Be careful, though, because the ground is made of mostly dirt and gravel, so they might kick up some dust. 

A few trees line the outside of the park to provide shade during the day, and there is a lamp post for light during the evening. If you have got a dog who cannot run with the big dogs yet, be sure to bring some water because the only water source is found on the side for the larger dogs. 

While the City of Hoboken encourages you to talk to other owners at the dog park, they also remind you to watch your dog for appropriate interactions. Many visitors complain over the years that the park is not kept clean, so be a good visitor and clean up after your pup. Always keep an eye on your dog when they go to the bathroom and clean it up immediately. You need to bring your own doggie poop bags as they are not provided. 

Additionally, the city is strict when it comes to not letting dogs run on the green grass outside of the designated dog run; keep your dog on-leash until they are in the park. Make sure your dog is not aggressive and does not dig holes. If your dog digs a hole, please fill it in. Always keep your dog up-to-date on vaccinations and make sure they are healthy when they visit the park.
