Description

Clarkston Dog Park is a furvorite dog playground located within Milam Park in Clarkston, GA. This small, wooded park is only about 1/2 acre. Just a short walk down the signed The Paw Way from the parking area near the tennis courts takes you to this pupperdise!

The off-leash area is secured with a four-foot chain link fence, so if your pup likes to jump or climb, keeping a close eye on them will keep them from running off. A double entry/exit gate ensures safety, and there are two sections to accommodate both large and small puppers.

Clarkston Dog Park is a free space for dogs to socialize and play. Because of the many shade trees, there's little open space to race, but that won't stop the fur babies from careening around and between them. The puppy playground is within dog-friendly Milam Park where the human family can enjoy a splash pad and pool, fields for soccer and softball, tennis courts, and a modern playground.

Dogs are welcome at Milam Park on a leash, but can't tread on the playground or sports fields. They must also be leashed on the walk from the parking lot to the dog park as well.

This furbulous pup playground offers fountains for both humans and canines, and dog waste stations with complimentary bags. In accordance with Georgia law, the responsibility for proper clean-up of canine waste falls to the doggos' human companion.

Picnic pavilions equipped with electricity and grills are scattered within Milam Park, while comfortable benches inside the dog haven invite humans to relax while their fur buddies enjoy their playtime.

Dogs must have had all of their core vaccinations and need to wear a current license and rabies tag. The city also requires an ID tag that includes the dog parent's name and phone number.

It's important to note that Clarkston prohibits Pit Bull and Rottweiler breeds from using the park. Dogs engaging in aggressive or inappropriate behavior must be leashed and removed.
