Clifty Creek Dog Park

The Clifty Creek Dog Park is not a members-only dog park, but the city does require registration and a fee before use. People thinking of stopping here on long car trips may want to look for a different option in your route. The Clifty Creek Dog Park is one of the most attractive dog parks in the area.

Visitors staying in the town of Columbus, Indiana may want to consider the purchase and use of a day pass. There is a $100 fee to acquire an annual pass; this money is used to maintain the park. Day passes are available at Hotel Indigo. That maintenance shows as this park is generally clean, and the grass stays in good condition over the spring and summer months. 

There is water available here at the Clifty Creek Dog Park, but this water is turned off for the winter months to prevent frozen lines. The Clifty Creek Dog Park is fenced, but that fence does not separate the area into sections for large and small canines. There are public restrooms available outside of the Clifty Creek Dog Park, near the sports fields. These are open to the public but closed in the winter months. 

Inside the Clifty Creek Dog Park, there is a large pavilion which provides a great deal of shade to those seated at the picnic tables placed underneath. Some trees can be found inside the dog park which gives a bit of shade to the canines playing in the field. There is enough space here for your canine to stretch their legs and get a run in. There is plenty of room for fetch and other games of that nature.

Outside of the Clifty Creek Dog Park, the remainder of the park has a ton of attractions and some beautiful scenery. A paved trail winds through the park, large trees overhang to provide shade. The trail comes along the river and through some wooded areas of the park. Several sports installations are located at this park. In total, the Clifty Creek Dog Park spans around 90 acres of land.
