Water suitable for drinking is provided on the premises to help keep Fido well-hydrated during his visit to the park. It is unknown if bathroom facilities are available for public use. Benches are provided in well-shaded areas where owners can relax and supervise their dogs at play. It is also not known if poop bags are available on the premises; however, it is required that all owners pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste.Â
In accordance with Lake County ordinance #1244F, "Pit Bulls" and Pit Bull type dogs are not permitted in Wicker Memorial Dog Park. This ordinance forbids the presence of these particular breed types in any off-leash dog facility. It is also mandatory for all dogs to be licensed with the city (or their state if not residents of Indiana). Could Fido benefit from an afternoon of burning off some steam?
