Description
Coco's Canine Cabana Indoor Dog Park is a comprehensive dog care facility in Valparaiso, Indiana. This dog care center offers everything Fido could need to stay healthy and well including an indoor dog park, dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and training. Also housed on the grounds is a dog bakery, a boutique, and on-site agility instruction. This indoor dog playground earns high marks from visitors for its cleanliness.

It is regularly disinfected and properly sanitized to ensure it remains a safe and hygienic play space for all to enjoy. Since the flooring is largely concrete, dogs who frequent the play areas remain clean. Though it is not known how many play spaces are available at Coco's Canine Cabana Indoor Dog Park, dogs are organized into play groups based on size, personality, age, and play style to ensure all off-leash play and socialization is appropriate for all.

Coco's Canine Cabana Indoor Dog Park offers a service to the public. The facility is private, meaning registration is required, and a fee must be paid to access the grounds. A day pass can be obtained for $3; however, those who plan to visit more frequently can purchase a monthly permit for $49. At the time of registration, proof of the following vaccinations must be provided: rabies, DHLPP, and bordetella.

In addition to this, a city dog license is recommended as is a flea, tick, and heartworm preventative. The 15,000 square foot play area at Coco's Canine Cabana Indoor Dog Park is complete with water to ensure Fido and his favorite pals stay cool and thirst-free. Visitors do make note that there is no outdoor area for pottying, meaning dogs must urinate and defecate indoors.

It is not known if poop bags are provided, but it is necessary for owners to bring some from home as it is their responsibility to clean up after their pets. Coco's Canine Cabana requires that all dogs remain on a flat collar or harness during their time on the playground.

Prong, spike, and choke collars are strictly prohibited. In addition to this, glass containers, toys, and treats are also not permitted on the property. Bathrooms are available for public use in the main building. For a day of fun at a great indoor park, bring Fido for a play date at Coco's Canine Cabana Indoor Park!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.

Never again!!!! I had used Coco’s back when I lived in Valpo 4 years ago and always had a wonderful experience, I don’t know if someone took over running it or if it’s just gone down hill but I was so disappointed in the service we received...or lack of service I should say. When I arrived to sign him up, I had all the necessary vet records sent a head of time. I had to wait to fill out the proper enrollment forms because the lady could not find them. Then I received a phone call later in the day asking if I was planning on coming to get my dog. This was a little over an hour before they closed...don’t I have until 8pm? The girl said yes but he had been the last dog left there for the last three hours. They have no dogs and no toys what was my dog doing all day?!? She said she was reading to him a little bit. I bring my dog to socialize and exercise, at least get a ball and run him please. I get the feeling they just wanted me to get him so that they could close and go home. The real nightmare was yesterday while we went to Chicago to visit with friends. I dropped my dog off and took the train into the city. I get a phone call at 1pm saying they were closing early and I needed to come get my dog. I was shocked, what do you mean you have to close right now?!? The girl on the phone explained that the owners were away on vacation and that the receptionist had walked out leaving her to care for the dogs alone. She stated that she had to go to the hospital to visit her family and that the dog would need to be picked up by 2pm. I explained that I was from Pennsylvania in town visiting friends and currently in Chicago. I would not be able to just come back to get him. She asked if there was anyone I could call. No I’m from Pennsylvania! She suggested that she leave him at the facility unattended and I could call once I was back in town and she would come unlock the door. No thank you!!! Luckily the girl was willing to transport the dog to the house we were staying which had a keypad for entry. But this is not how a facility like this should be run!!! It was almost as if this young girl was left to run a business on her own with no experience or guidance. You have hours of operation for a reason and inconvenience people greatly when they change. You should never suggest leaving dogs unattended in a locked facility. This is a member of my family who is dearly loved...would you lock your baby in a room alone and return 5-6 hours later to get them?!? I am appalled by how things were run and would urge everyone to avoid this facility at all costs! I will definitely be making a phone call to the better business bureau!
Thanks for your vote!
