Pups in Frankfort know the happening place is inside the East Frankfort Park. This puptastic park has tons of amenities, but best of all for your doggo is the pawmazing Bark Park!Â
With a parking area right outside the fence, this free, public Bark Park is really worth barking about! Take the path north to get to the gate of this large and fully fenced in pupperdise. Once inside, you can take off the leash and let your dog run free. In the north section of the off leash area, you'll find a manicured and open grassy space where pups can frolic and socialize. There's agility equipment for the sporty pups, and picnic tables and benches for you to watch from. Doggie fire hydrants are pawfect for those that need to mark where they've been.
With a clean-up bag station and trash can on site, picking up after your pup is easy. This large area is for all size pups, and doesn't feature a small dog section. If you have a little pupper, be sure they are comfortable romping with bigger dogs.Â
The best part of this woofderful park is the fully wooded southern section. Dogs can run through the trees and explore the small stream that flows through in off leash freedom. The wooded area is fenced off from the main bark park with a gate that attaches them, so you can choose if you want your pup to walk through this section.Â
If you'd like to explore the rest of East Frankfort Park, clip that leash back on. There are multiple sports fields and courts for the humans, picnic areas and shelters, playgrounds, a disc golf course, and best of all, nature trails. Be sure to keep clean-up bags on hand as you traverse the larger park. Whether in the Bark Park or the rest of the park, always have drinking water for your thirsty pup too.
Get out those pup wiggles and bring your dog for a romp in the wooftastic East Frankfort Bark Park!
