This is a fenced dog park, open year round, with separate sections for large and small dogs. The Fairmont Dog Park is covered in the grass during the spring and summer months, covered in snow or dirt by the late fall.The park is not lit, and as such, they close at an early hour of the day. There are some trees at this park, though only large enough to provide some shade to your canine. The trees are not large enough or around enough to provide a lot of shade. You, for the most part, will be subjected to the sun at this park. There is one structure here that covers a small picnic table.
This shelter can provide some shade during the summer days and a place to sit that is not likely covered in snow during the winter. Water is available so you and your canine can stay hydrated, but you will want to bring your bowl. Benches for seating are placed along the fence line of the park.
There is also a paved walking path that winds its way through the center of the Fairmont Dog Park. There are some benches along this path, and it makes for a good way to get a walk in a while your canine romps around with the others in the park. If there are no other canines in the park, there is still agility equipment for their use.
