Foothills Dog Park

The Foothills Dog Park is not a members-only dog park, however, in the state of New Jersey, any canine that wishes to go to a dog park must have proof of vaccination and a canine license. There's a small processing fee for this license, and it does need to be renewed annually. Citizens of Pequannock must still acquire this license, but it is at no cost. 

For liability purposes, you are required to carry and provide proof of homeowners or renters insurance. For more information regarding the registration process and requirements, visit their website. This dog park is a large fenced grass field. There are separate zones for large and small canine, which help to keep the small canines safe as they are separated from dogs that could be many times their size. 

Water is available at the Foothills Dog Park as well. You can find it in the form of a fountain at the entrance to either side of the dog park. These fountains disperse water into a bowl at ground level for your canine and through a spout at waist height for the human companion. 

Poop bags are provided at waste stations along the fenceline of the Foothills Dog Park. Many large trees are surrounding the dog park, these trees provide some shade to the patrons of the park, but when the sun is highest in the sky, a little shadow is cast over the park itself. 

There are no structures built to provide shade at the Foothills Dog Park either, so on hot days you and your canine may find yourself at the mercy of the sun. Foothills Park, the park which encompasses this dog park, provides many attractions for the visitors of the park. 

This Foothills Dog Park has some gorgeous vegetation, a winding creek, gorgeous walking trails, playgrounds for the children, pavilions for picnics, sports fields, public restrooms and so much more. The park stays in excellent condition as the city maintains the property thoroughly and regularly.
