Located on Halstead Road, the Karner Farm Dog Park of West Bloomfield also includes a historic barn, community gardens, porta-john, expansive wetlands and a gravel parking lot, aside from the well-maintained dog park.

The physical layout of the Karner Farm Dog Park is well thought of and includes three separate sections, one for dogs of all sizes, one for dogs under 25 lbs and there is even a section for people who have limited abilities. If you have a timid and tiny dog, it is best to take your pooch to the small dog section to avoid section. A keyless electronic system controls entry to the park.
The Karner Farm Dog Park of West Bloomfield offers drinking water for pet parents and their furbabies, as well as dog poop scoopers and waste disposal, so there is no reason not to pick up after dogs. Pet parents who are green thumbs will also be pleased to know that the community gardens where they can register as a gardener. Karner Farm Dog Park has an annual registration fee of $30.
Registration is only open to the residents of West Bloomfield Township and starts in January of each year and closes in February and the fee is not prorated. To register, pet parents must go in person to the Registration Activities Center at 4640 Walnut Lake Road which is open from 8 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon from Monday to Friday. The requirements for registration are a driver’s license, a county dog license, and proof of up-to-date current vaccination at the time of registration.
