The Kenlake State Resort Park is the place to take a beloved fur baby for an amazing vacation. The resort, which is in Hardin, Kentucky, is super pet-friendly. It welcomes dogs in both the rooms of the Kenlake Lodge which is a forty-eight room hotel and also in the cottages spread out around the grounds.Â
It's a fantastic place to go either fishing or boating or even fishing from a boat as the resort has a beautiful marina. There are various trails to go exploring with a pet pooch too, so long as it's kept on a leash. There are plenty of things to enjoy with a dog here even though there's no designated dog park or off-leash area for them.
No-one goes on vacation for free, and that includes furry members of families staying at the Kenlake State Resort Park. The pet-surcharge isn't one which will break the bank though and is a lot more economical than boarding a dog in kennels. The added bonus for taking them with you is you don't have to miss them while you're away. It's a win-win situation all around.Â
If you're planning to stay at the Kenlake State Resort Park Lodge, there's a two dog limit per room or cottage, and you'll pay just an extra $30 on top of your booking fees to take your dog with you. If you take a break in one of the cottages, then the extra charge amounts to $50 plus taxes.Â
That's a bargain by anyone's standards, and it pays to pay what they're charging. Why? If you get caught sneaking a pup in then you get charged a whole lot more, and it's just not worth the risk. You'll have to face a $50 charge plus an extra $100 on top of that for cleaning expenses. It really does pay to be honest when staying in a Kentucky Resort State Park.
