Mishawaka Dog Park (Margaret H. Prickett Marina Park)

Mishawaka Dog Park is a public dog park located at the Margaret H. Prickett Marina Park in Mishawaka, Indiana. In addition to the dog park, the 15-acre Marina park is home to fishing piers, a dual launch boat, playgrounds, seasonal public bathrooms, pavilions, and picnic areas. 

This park is a great location for a day outdoors with the whole family. The Mishawaka Dog Park is highly-rated and very popular among the dog owners living around the area due to its spacious size, landscaping, and featured amenities. 

The dog park is securely fenced and double-gated. It is made up of two separate areas for dogs to enjoy without a leash. There is a small dog area that is mostly flat but provides a good amount of room for small dog breeds to stretch their legs. 

The other area accommodates large dog breeds and has beautiful landscaping. It provides an open, grassy space for games of fetch, a hill that dogs can climb on and use to get their daily dose of exercise, as well as a wooded and ungroomed area that is perfect for canines who love to explore and sniff around in the bushes with their four-legged buddies. 

Mature trees line the Mishawaka Dog Park that provide plenty of shade, and the benches that are conveniently located by them enable owners to remain cool and comfortable as they watch their pooches play and roam off-leash. 

The dog park is the perfect size as it allows dogs to feel freedom while at the same time remaining in their owners’ line of sight. The dog park is equipped with a water hose that can be found by the benches which helps make sure the four-legged patrons of the park remain hydrated. 

There is also a fake fire hydrant and some tennis balls that are scattered throughout the park; please keep that in mind if your dog is a chewer. Plastic waste bags are also available, so please make sure to use them and clean up after your pooch if you visit this wonderful park.
