The Montgomery Township Dog Park is located in the Belle Mead area. It is a one-acre park that is dedicated to allowing dogs to run off-leash and have fun. The fenced-in dog park is easy to find since it is on the same turn off and adjacent to the Municipal Building. Once you park, you will see a small path that leads to the dog park.Â
It is a short walk, and you need to keep your dog on a leash until you fully enter the designated dog area and close the gate securely. Pet parents are required to hold the detached leash in their hands at all times in case of an emergency that causes them to leash their dog.Â
Aggressive dogs are not tolerated at this park and need to be removed from the area on a leash by their pet parents. You need to display vaccination and license tags on your dog’s collar when visiting this park. You also need to bring along doggie poop bags to clean up after your dog.Â
One of the things you will notice is the cleanliness of the Montgomery Township Dog Park. The rules require pet parents to always clean up after their dogs to help keep the park a healthy environment for the dogs. It is also recommended that your dog be fully vaccinated and sociable with people and other pets.
The Montgomery Township Dog Park has green grass, a lot of space to run and play, benches for pet parents, and a few obstacles to dog train. Pet parents can train their dogs on the agility course. However, it is better to teach when there are fewer dogs in the park. Â
Do not forget to bring fresh water and a portable bowl for your dogs to keep them hydrated. Overall, this is an excellent park to bring your dog on a regular basis. Your dog will enjoy exercise, training, playtime and socializing with other dogs. Pet parents will also enjoy relaxing while your dog enjoys the outdoors.Â
