Mounds State Park

Mounds State Park is located in the beautiful region of Indiana, providing the local community with a fabulous place to visit on the weekend. This ancient and educational state park holds ten special earthworks that were made by prehistoric Indians. Those prehistoric Indians were called the Adena-Hopewell people. 

People come to this park from all over to witness these beautiful sites. When you come and visit Mounds State Park, you will find many different amenities that are available for your enjoyment. At this park, there is a visitor center, picnic area with shelters, trails, a rental center, a camp store, a swimming pool, campsites, camping areas for youth, electrical outlets, and a dumping station. 

Most visitors that come to Mounds State Park love to hike, swim, and camp. If you wish to bring your favorite pooch to this park, they must stay on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay, and they must also remain by your side. During your stay at Mounds State Park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the Indiana State Parks System. 

Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to Mounds State Park as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. 

Humans should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park. If you wish to camp, you must schedule a reservation. Reservations can be made on the park's main website or in the park's main office. Overall, Mounds State Park is a beautiful place to visit on any day.
