With this in mind, owners are asked to refrain from placing their small dogs in the large dog run and vice versa. With safety rated as of paramount importance, owners must always have a leash on hand in case it is needed. Also, dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the enclosures as well as in all other public places as is required by New Jersey law.Â
New Street Dog Park, a public dog play space, is open to all pooches and their people free of charge. The dog runs themselves are complete with benches where owners can supervise their dogs having fun with their best canine pals. However, visitors to this park do note that there is very little shade. There is no water access at New Street Dog Park.Â
To be sure that Fido has access to a cool drink when needed, it is best for owners to bring a bottle of water and a dog dish from home. Additionally, it is unknown if poop bags are provided on the premises. Since the responsibility for pet waste removal lies with each owner, it is wise to bring a few extra bags from home. It is not known if bathrooms are housed on the property for public use.Â
New Street Park, a family-friendly recreational area, has several outdoor activities for visiting families to enjoy. Found on the grounds are a baseball diamond, soccer fields, and a roller skating rink. New Street Dog Park is also home to the Glassboro Soccer Club. There are no officially posted rules that visitors to this park must observe. However, up to date vaccinations and a city dog license are recommended.
